Last week was the introduction week, and sometimes you just miss the introduction because

it's that weekend between Christmas and New Year's where it's so fun, but also a time warp.

So I really loved our introduction lesson.

So if you want to go back sometime and catch up on that on a walk or

listen to a double speed, you probably already listen to double speed. But just go get that lesson.

I think it's a great way to start off the Doctrine Covenants. But today we're in section one of the

doctrine covenants. If you're new to Don't Misses, by the way, this is just a, if you miss being in like an institute or a seminary class, we go through and we just teach the scriptures. There's so

much to love in the scriptures. We both have taught scriptures for a long time, and we just love

them. And we want to share a couple things that we think you don't want to miss in them. So

that's what, that's what we do. And we're so happy that you are here

with us. So today, this year, we're in doctrine and covenants here. We follow the come follow

me schedule for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So today is section one. Last week was

the introduction and today is section one, which is considered the preface of the doctrine and

covenant. So last week, we really were in the introduction before you get into any of the

sections. And then now we're here in section one. Let's jump right in. You might want to write

underneath section one that this is the preface. Well, I bet it's in the heading already.

Yeah, it is. So you can just highlight that word right there in that little heading that's a description of the section. Sometimes those are going to help, by the way, with the background of what's happening in a particular section. We'll always try and give what the background is to a section. You might want to supplement too with other resources.
