The state attorney general for Arizona says prosecutions continue. Chris Mays announced on Sunday,

she has no intention of dropping charges against the Republicans indicted by a grand jury

for participating in the 2020 presidential election false electors scheme.

Bad news for Rudy Giuliani, who was also under indictment in Georgia.

Bad news for Trump's former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, who was also under

indictment in Georgia.

Giuliani Meadows, along with former Trump attorney Christina Bob, Arizona GOP, chair Kelly Ward,

and several others were indicted earlier this year for filing fraudulent documents when they

offered up a phony slate of Trump electors for the state of Arizona.

Arizona, Attorney General, Chris Mays, said, quote,

a grand jury, this is what she said yesterday.

A grand jury in the state of Arizona decided that these individuals who engaged in an

attempt to overthrow our democracy in 2020

should be held accountable so we won't be cowed, we won't be intimidated, unquote.

Because these are state crimes, if found guilty, the defendants would not be eligible for a presidential pardon.

The trial is scheduled for 2026.
