Hey everyone, John here. That's the Hudson River. Sound you're hearing is ice hitting against

itself. I guess little mini icebergs, we'll call them that. We had a blizzard here last night.

It's the reason that I am not at the inauguration. Not too bad. They've already cleared the roads.

I don't know if we got, you know, four inches, something like that. But I was busy shoveling.

And it's kind of a bummer.

I wanted to be at the inauguration. About half of me wanted to, half of me didn't want to,

just because it's like five hours away and I wouldn't have gotten much sleep and all that.

But anyway, it didn't happen, but I did watch it. And I have some thoughts. So I wanted to summarize Trump's speech and then give you some

thoughts that I'm having about the future of the country in general. So here's the speech, right?

So my bullet points. He talked about America first, which I think is great. I mean, it was a great

speech, to be quite honest with you. Little things I might disagree with here and there. But

he's not about trying to

meet some kind of this ideological threshold. It's not about America on this cosmic journey for

equality or something. It's about the condition of the American people. And he wants to

prioritize them. That's why he's in office. And I think that's great. So he's going to put America

first. He wants to end the weaponized deep state. And I think that's obviously really good. He wants to

remember God. He emphasized that. He even did a dramatic pause and said we can't forget our God

using that possessive plural pronoun. Deport foreign criminals. He wants to fight the cartels,

label them terrorist groups. He wants

to drill for oil. I remember a few years ago when I was in Alaska, I talked to this guy who worked

for whatever department in Alaska opens and closes the pipelines. And he said it was frustrating

every four years. He even quit his job eventually because he's like every four years, it's a different
