I'm Caleb Brown at a campaign event recently minutes after accusing his opponent of supporting price

controls Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump had his own price

control to unveil caps on credit card interest rates as controls go, that's a big one.

Cato's Nick Anthony details the trouble with telling people they can't loan money

at market rates.

Donald Trump likes to call his opponent far left. I don't know if he's

actually called her a communist or not, but he has I think alluded to her father an economist who has some affinity there and

so much of his platform and I'm not trying to leave out Kamala Harris, but because her platform is very similar along some dimensions

He wants to do a lot of something for nothing in a lot of policy areas and the

something in this case is you pay less interest on your debt and the everybody else just has to deal with it I guess.

So we've talked about this before.

about these proposals floating around

from Democrats, for the most part,

trying to limit credit card interest what are the nuts and

bolts to the extent that we've heard them what are the nuts and bolts of

Donald Trump's plan here?

Well, that's a pretty good question because he left all of those out.

At a rally in New York, Trump said, while working Americans catch up, we're going to put a temporary cap on

credit card interest rates.

We're going to cap it at around 10%. This is a pretty radical plan compared to what Democrats have called for in the past.
