and I asked him to come on the program I want everyone to know this Jared Sanchez

Jared is a medical student at Brown University.

I've had very few students on the show, but I wanted him to tell his story of what happened

with the pandemic when it was going down.

He's in school and how things have affected him, particularly the vaccines and the mandates.

Jared, welcome to McCullough Report. Thank you, Dr. McCullough, for having me

and for the opportunity to share a little bit about my story. And just like you said, the pandemic

definitely impacted my time at Brown University. I had the privilege and honor of being admitted

to Brown University in 2016 in their combined undergraduate and medical program.

And I actually graduated virtually during lockdown in May of 2020 from home, which had its own

challenges. And I was over the moon excited to start medical school that year in 2020 in September, and year one went on

without a hitch, as best as a hybrid model of learning can go, understandably.

It wasn't until year two that I believe at the end of May 2021, the university mandated that every student coming in the next year had to accept the primary series for the COVID-19 injections.

Okay, so hold on right there.

So this is May of 2021. So we're already, we've already gone through 2020 and now we've gone through five

months of 2021. What percent of your medical school class do you estimate already had COVID

during that time? By that point, it's hard to say, doctor, because I'm of the belief that COVID-19, or at least the illness, the spike pathogen, whatever we need to call it, was circulating in the globe around November, December of 2019.
