I was reading a newsletter this morning from my gorgeous friend, Candice Nelson, and I thought,

I have to do a pot on this today. It's so good. It's so simple. It's so powerful.

She's the author of Sweet Success. She was the founder of Sprinkles Cupcakes. Now Pizana,

an incredible restaurant chain. Sorry, an incredible pizza chain.

Wow wee. Candace is fantastic,

and our interview was wonderful. She's so real, and she really wants other people to win,

which is something I really, really admire in people. But Candice's email was called FOMO versus Mojo, and I was like, ooh, what she's sharing today? And I'm going to

read a passage for you right here. Okay. A friend of mine recently told me she was concerned about

her teenage daughter who was feeling left out. Her daughter had fallen into the social media

trap. Oh, haven't we all sometimes?

Scrolling past parties she was invited to, watching classmates hang out without her,

each swipe adding to a growing sense of isolation.

The advice from her therapist, I love that this teenage girl has a therapist.

The advice from her therapist was straightforward.

Throw your own party. Oh yes. Simple, yes. Game changing, absolutely. Because this isn't just about high school drama. It's about how we show up in life. Why sit there watching everyone else's highlight reel when you could be

creating your own? Stop waiting for the invitation. Send one. Oh my friends! Where can this be

in your life today? What are you swiping over? What are you noticing going, I want some of that.

Choose me, invite me, find me, include me. Throw your own party. You know, we used to have these

incredible events in New York called pitch please, media gathering events. And I created that because I wanted to go to one.
