Hey everyone. Welcome back to the show. Quick few things before we dive into my reaction to

Donald Trump's defeat of Kamala Harris on Tuesday night. There's going to be a modified

because of the election. This episode will be my reaction to the results from a realignment

perspective. Tomorrow's episode will be a Steve Talley's of Johns Hopkins and the Nisgannon Center,

plus Marshall, of course, discussing the results

and the future of American politics. Finally, Saga and I will be back this Sunday for an election

which I will give in no particular order. One, I got the race wrong. I'll discuss my specific

bad calls with Steve tomorrow, but what frustrates me about the bad calls is that as someone who

spent the past five years covering the realignment of America's political system, I should

have been more onto the big trends. Gen Z's moving towards Trump and the GOP, young men specifically

trending to the right, the huge swing of Latino voters to the right as well,

including even Puerto Ricans, lower turnout or even swings to Trump in the black community,

and just the broad swing against incumbent parties across the globe, finally coming to the United States.
