We're going to begin, though, with the fallout from President Trump's wide-ranging tariffs.

The latest round went into effect at midnight, a 25% tariff on all import of steel and aluminum.

This is after a day of back and forth between the U.S. and Canada.

Our chief White House correspondent, Mary Bruce, has the latest for us. Good morning, Mary.

Good morning, Robin. Well, yeah, overnight the president's 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum going into effect after another chaotic day of escalations and retreats. This roller coaster

reeling and Americans feeling the uncertainty. This morning as the president ups his trade war,

Trump dismissing the turmoil his words and actions are causing on Wall Street. Stocks Tuesday,

tumbling nearly 500 points. So, Mr. President, when you look at the market selling off, that didn't concern you,

and where do you see it going?

I think some people are going to make great deals by buying stocks and bonds and all the things

they're buying.

Just days after refusing to rule out a recession, Trump now changing his tune.

Do you think there will be a recession?

I don't see it at all. I think this country is going to boom.

But as I said, I can do it the easy way or the hard way.

The hard way to do it is exactly what I'm doing, but the results are going to be 20 times

greater.

While he downplays the concerns of many Americans deeply unsettled by his trade war, the President

is giving Elon Musk the world's richest man in his company a big endorsement,

touting Tesla's luxury cars at the White House as the company's stock tumbles down 39 percent so far this year,
