Disney's business is memory making. Disney's business is tradition.

But here's the thing about kingdoms.

They don't last forever.

To survive, Disney had to grow.

But has that tremendous growth eroded what made Disney, Disney.

Eater. And my name is Daniel Janine. I am a producer at Eater. And Amanda, this

week on the show we are talking about the crazy state of the meat industry

right now. There are plants shutting down left and right. People are freaking out about the supply chain.

There are meat shelves and grocery stores that are going unstocked and we wanted to know how severe is this issue, what is actually

going on in the larger state of commodity beef and chicken and pork across the country.

So we brought on Matthew Wadiak,

who was a founder of Blue Apron,

the giant meal-pre-at-home company,

and has moved on to starting a company called Cook's Venture where he has a

vertically integrated chicken company. So through his work at Blue

Apron and now working with the grocery stores and with consumers at Cook's venture, he has a really strong

grasp of the mess that is the American meat supply chain.
