In on this week's episode, we're going to be talking about the 2025 film, Wolfman, directed

by Lee Wannell, written by Lee Wannell and his wife, Corbett Tuck, and starring Christopher

Abbott, Julia Garner, and Matilda Firth.

In this film, a family in Oregon is stocked by a creature that's a mix of a human and a wolf.

If you're new to our show, we're going to have a spoiler-free discussion for the first 10 to 15 minutes.

we'll talk about the plot, we'll spoil the film, and we'll get into our review.

And Brian, I know on our year-end list for 2024, we talked about how we had a bit of a break from Blumhouse last year,

and here we are, first major release of the year. Blumhouse is back with a reboot

or franchise. What were your thoughts going into this?

I wasn't expecting a whole lot. I mean, Blumhouse is developing a reputation for duds,

sadly, lately. Not box office duds necessarily, but their quality of films has declined in recent years.

And January and February are kind of thought of as dump months where people put releases they don't think will do well.

But at the same time, I know a lot of people were like, oh, it's a January Blumhouse

movie. It's going to suck. Yes, we had night swim last year in January 2024. But there

was Megan in January 2023. I know a lot of people weren't wild about it, but I thought it

was at least entertaining, right? And it was fairly popular and well-liked.
