Released this week is an annual celebration of inspirational, influential women who work in and around Westminster.

So to highlight some of those honoured on this year's list, I've got a brilliant panel to talk about the contribution of women in public life,

and what the parties need to offer female voters as we head towards an election.

So I'm going to start with Laura. It was one of the patrons who I'll put it together.

Just talk us through briefly how the list comes together

and what kind of criteria used to select the 100 people who are on that list this year.

The women in Westminster 100 list celebrates 100 women across Westminster who've made an impact

on Westminster politics that year. So it can be MPs who have had legislation and campaigns.

It can be campaigners that have effectively influenced MPs to bring stuff to the foreign effect

change, journalists who've driven that cause, civil servants who've been part of it, the whole

Westminster machine. And I think it's very much about recognising the people who are big names

in that and you would expect to

see on the list because someone like Thea who went viral this year for example. So people we know

about, but also people behind the scenes that we don't know about because there are so many people

involved in making these changes. So yeah, it involves recognizing those women basically.

And then in terms of how it comes about,

so people can nominate someone that they think should be on the list, and then we receive all the nominations in. And once that deadline is passed, the panel of patrons onto a list of 100,
