Hey guys welcome back to the dad tired podcast. Sometimes on this show

I like to just have people on to share their stories and I know you know

We're show focused on helping us try to figure out how to be better husbands and dads and disciples

So you we might listen to a story and think you know how does this helping me be a better husband father disciple

But the reason I do that is because I know as a dad I have four kids young kids and

Sometimes as a dad I get so focused on like the here and not like just trying to figure out my own life in my own family

My own marriage each of my own kids and you get so focused on your own family that sometimes you forget like man

God is huge and he's doing a story in other people's lives and other families and

Throughout all of eternity like God is working and so when we hear stories when we hear testimonies of God's goodness and other people's lives

Even though it's not about us it reminds us that God is working like the story is bigger than us

You know what I mean?

He's been working for all time throughout all eternity and he's redeeming all humanity back to himself and so

Somehow the way that God has designed things when we share our testimonies when we hear the stories of God's goodness

It it actually takes the focus off of us personally as a man

It takes the focus off of our

Individual marriages and our individual families and it points our eyes back to a bigger God

And when you do that when you point your eyes off of yourself and back to who God is

It actually makes you a better husband father and disciple and so that's my goal today that you would hear a story

Somebody else's story of their marriage and their family and that you would see God's redemption and that somehow in the midst of hearing their story

It would remind you of who God is and just being reminded of the gospel truth that God did not bail on his people

But that he keeps pursuing his people just being reminded of that

Somehow is going to make you a better husband father and disciple and so that's my prayer for you as you listen to Paul and Amy
