Life is really busy and if you're anything like us it's easy to feel overwhelmed by everything on your calendar.

Today we're going to share the system we use to take the stress out of our schedule that you can use to create a calendar that reflects your priorities.

This is Life with Amy and Jordan.

A number of years ago, we were sitting in church,

and I'll never forget forget the pastor asked us to take out a piece of paper and write down our top five priorities for our life.

One through five. What are your top five priorities in your life?

And so Jordan and I got out our piece of paper, took out our pen, and wrote down our top five priorities

thinking like, oh, this is easy, we got this, right?

So number one, we wrote down God.

Number two, marriage.

Number three, family, number four, friends,

and number five, career.

And we're feeling pretty good about ourselves, yes we feel like this is like a really good answer to this question.

And then the other shoe dropped. Our pastor asked us to take out our phone, open up our calendar, and then ask ourselves honestly if the priorities

we had just written down reflected our calendar.

Oh, it was like a big gulp, because it was really clear to us really quickly.

Oh my gosh, our calendar does not reflect

but we just wrote down

and we never really thought of it that way before until

someone challenged us to look at our calendar and look at our priorities and

see if they were actually a match. If the things we said were most important in

our life were actually the most important things in our life were actually the most important things in our life were actually the things we were spending our time doing.
