The Hello and welcome to 10 Days of Festive Fear 2024, and we are on day number five.

And I have two spooky stories for you today.

And our last story comes from the 17th of October 2024.

And story number one comes from Donnie.

Back when I was in high school about 20 years ago,

there was an old orphanage in a suburb of the city I grew up in,

of Toledo, Ohio.

It was a popular spot for high schoolers and others to try and break into

and see how long they could last

walking through it before getting too spooked. The orphanage had been closed for maybe 10 or 20

years at the point that I went in 2004, having originally opened at some point in the late

1800s. I went with my cousin and his new girlfriend,

on a summer's night to see what all the fuss was about.

There were at least two buildings.

One was some sort of gymnasium and the other was the main orphanage.

The main building of the orphanage was where all of the action was supposed to be.

However, we first went to the

gymnasium. There was nothing special about it. It was just an old gym with some old junk here

and there and some broken out windows. It was definitely spooky being inside, especially with a very

bright moon providing a lot of eerie light coming through what remained of the windows.

My cousin's girlfriend was definitely starting to get spooked, so we went to leave to go to the main building of the orphanage.
