Episode 139 Highly unusual, the three trials of AJ Armstrong,

war baby here with another episode of murderous minors.

After more than seven years it's finally time to talk about the murder retrials of Antonio

AJ Armstrong Jr. as this case has reached a conclusion.

As we previously covered, Armstrong Jr. was prosecuted for the 2017 murders of his

parents, Don Whiteley Armstrong and Antonio Armstrong Sr. in 2019.

However, that trial ended with a mistrial after the jury deadlocked.

The first retrial began with jury selection on October 3, 2022.

The prosecution called three Houston police officers to the stand, who all testified

that signs in the house, pointed to Armstrong Jr. as the likely killer.

One said that the teen said he heard gunshots come from his parents' room when he called

911, but he also said he was hiding on the third floor, so how is it possible that

he knew that?

His younger sister's bedroom was on the same floor, so it was odd to the police that he

seemed to know exactly where the gun had been fired.

An officer testified that although the sister was hysterical and inconsolable, Armstrong

Jr.'s demeanor throughout the entire time he spent with him was, quote, eerie and calm.

His attorney asked, quote, did you ever consider he was handcuffed and put into the back of

your patrol car at 2 a.m. at the age of 16?

If AJ wasn't scared enough for his parents, now he's being accused of it?

Did you consider that?

To which the officer replied simply, no.
