0:00.0	Hello there, my name is Tyler Griffin and this is Scripture Study Insights by Scripture Central.
0:06.0	Today, 3-Nephy chapters 27 through 4th Nephi.
0:12.0	So this section of scripture is going to conclude the Savior's personal ministry among the Nephites and Lamanites in the new world in chapter 27
0:24.0	and 28.
0:25.4	And then there will be a couple of chapters to finish off.
0:28.4	And then we get the incredible fourth Nephi, which covers an incredibly long period
0:35.7	of time where they are living in a Zion society, a perfect
0:40.3	society, but since the book was written for our day and not for the millennial day as we
0:47.6	get it here, you only get one chapter of that perfect society and only half of that chapter
0:53.9	is when they're perfect
0:54.8	and the other half is a decay of that chapter leading into the smaller book of Mormon
1:04.1	that comes right after Fourth Nephi.
1:06.7	So the lifelong learning overlay that I wanted to use on these particular chapters was a deep
1:16.0	dive look at what are the definitions of the church, the gospel of Jesus Christ, the doctrine
1:27.4	of Christ, how do they all fit together, how do they work together, how are they the same, how are they maybe filling different roles, different functions.
1:36.3	So in chapter 27, the apostles are gathered around, the Savior has left, his ministry they thought was finished,
1:49.0	and they have a question. It says that when Jesus came down and showed himself unto them
1:57.0	in verse 2, they were praying, and the thing that they were praying for, it says
2:02.5	in verse three, Lord, we will that thou wouldst tell us the name whereby we shall call this
2:09.1	church, for there are disputations among the people concerning this matter. There were
2:16.5	disagreements that ended in disputations. And remember back in chapter
2:21.5	11 when Jesus Christ introduced the ordinance of baptism, he told them that contention is
