This is the Rainbow Podcast with Marty Solomon. I'm his co-host, Brent Billings. Today, I'm with

Elgrim Refrix to chat about her spiritual practices. That's right. Cool and casual. Yeah, you know, just

just laid back. I'm really excited to get to hear everybody else's episodes. So I have no idea

what other people have been saying. And so hopefully we don't massively contradict each other or

maybe we will. And we could have like, you know, a fight at physical. We'll have to do a bracket.

You have to do a bracket for everybody's spiritual practices. Who's the holiest rank and vote now?

Well, yeah, I wasn't thinking of it like that. I was thinking more which is the best practice. But

if you want to make it an interpersonal kind of lecture, we can do that too. Why not, you know,

raise, raise the temperature in you. Okay, not actually. I love learning from everybody else.

But I did hear something over the summer that stuck with me. And it was somebody's quote which

was unattributed. So I'm so sorry. And they said, resonance is not the same thing as obedience.

And I really loved that quote because I think so often we get into the consumeristic space in our

faith where we're just like listening to cool people. We respect our reading good books or whatever.

And we come away and we're like, oh man, yeah, that really resonated with me. That's awesome. And then

like nothing changes in the way we live our lives the way we parent our kids.

You know, the way we show up to our workplace, whatever it is. And so talking about spiritual

disciplines, it's like what we consume, what we read and listen to, it's all so important.

That's the nutrients for your soul, right? Said your mind on things above, etc. But ultimately,

like, I don't care if we have the exact correct insight on some cultural thing or like

pick your favorite atonement theory. I don't really, you know, even care if we think that

Congress is full of lizard people or whatever. I care about what we do about our ideas, right?
