This is the Baimal Podcast with Marty Solomon. I'm his co-host, Brian Billings. Today I'm with Josh Bosse to hear about his spiritual practices and how they have evolved throughout his journey with God.

0:17.5

Yes, absolutely, but, but before we dive into this beautiful rest-filled session seven, let's pretend it's the evening of six, and I need to talk about something that is distinctly work related, which is that I have a new job. Did you know this print going?

0:38.5

I did, yes.

0:40.5

So for those of you who don't know, I have been doing campus ministry here in Cincinnati. You moved to Cincinnati to do that.

0:49.5

I moved to Cincinnati to do it, and then when you know it, that was end of 2019, and then things got a little complicated for the world and then for me.

1:03.5

So throughout all that chaos, a lot of things changed, but some really beautiful things happen on the campus ministry side of things that, you know, I haven't really been able to share here, but that is going to be changing because, like I said, I got a new job.

1:21.5

Before hand, this kind of Bama teacher co-hosting gig just kind of bloomed out of my relationship with Marty, but now it is going to be part of my job because I am now a campus minister to you all, the Bama audience, or I should say specifically the college students in the Bama audience.

1:42.5

And there's a lot of really exciting things to come with that too much to talk about here.

1:49.5

So rather than spend a bunch of time talking about it, I just want to talk to all the college students right here listening to this.

2:00.5

I am doing something really exciting. It's a project called Alam. I can talk about what that means at a future time, but if you are looking to find ways to build community here in a lonely place, if you're looking for a more practice centered approach to worship spaces.

2:22.5

If you are just looking to infuse everything we talk about here at Bama from rest and making space to the text, if you're looking to weave that into your life and community more thoroughly in your college student, reach out to me.

2:39.5

Send me an email. We always throw out my email here at the end. If you want to help shape or even just participate in that space, hit me up. Let me know your college student and we will start building something very new and very cool that I am super excited and passionate about.

2:57.5

Yes. Midrashjosh at gmail.com is the email. Midrashjosh at gmail.com. So because of the realities of your immunocompromised situation, post cancer, post liver transplant, you are going to be a virtual campus minister to Bama college students.

3:17.5

Yes. So does it matter where these college students are?

3:21.5

No, absolutely not. I have, in fact, I have already spoken with my very first Bama audience member college student, shout out to Jacob Davis. I know you probably won't get to this episode for a while, but that guy is all the way in Australia.

3:41.5

And I figure if I can handle a 14 hour time zone difference, I can probably handle wherever you are in the world. So yeah, hit me up. No exceptions. If you're a college student, reach out to me. I want to talk with you.

4:01.5

Even if you're not sure what you want, you know, if you're a listener in this podcast has done something for you and you're in college, I think I've said college or bajillion times, but yeah, if you're in college, reach out to me.

4:13.5

I'd love to talk with you and get to know you and start doing something really cool together that I wish I could just take over this party, which is I could take over this podcast and just talk for an hour about a long and what it is and what we're doing.

4:27.5

I think we will someday, but not just not today. Yes, not today, but you know, there we go. There's our little cliffhanger. There's our teaser email me and all will be revealed on the flip side of your virtual campus minister status.

4:41.5

Yes, the goal really is for you to help people build community around them.

4:49.5

Yes, that is ultimate goal. So even though your role as virtual, the goal of this whole project is to build local community.

4:59.5

Yes, and we've also created new positions to help resource new communities, new college communities that are building up. So we are, we are like, we are trying some really new stuff that I, I don't know, maybe other people are doing it, but I have not heard of anyone else doing this.
