So can we talk about the fact in high school you learned the square root of pie,

0:09.9

but we don't learn how to budget our money?

0:13.1

Yeah, because it's amazing that it's like this knowledge that we really don't use in the real world.

0:17.7

We're taught, which I understand.

0:18.9

It's a good thing.

0:19.6

But also the things we need to know, we weren't always taught as kids and as teenagers. And so today I want to

0:26.6

offer a little bit of a crash course on five financial lessons that everyone should learn in

0:31.2

school. So before we get started, make sure to subscribe and share this episode, maybe with

0:35.1

your high school BFF. You know, why no? All right, the first

0:38.2

lesson we all should have learned before graduating from high school is how to budgets. I mentioned

0:58.7

into any conversations, you have no idea how much lights and water are. So getting a realistic

1:03.5

expectation of life is so important. And Ramsey's most recent survey, the state of personal finance,

1:10.4

the research that we did, we found that saving

1:12.5

money was the top New Year's resolution for Americans. So if that's the case for you, a budget

1:19.4

is going to help you do that. So in my house, we use every dollar, which is an incredible budgeting

1:24.1

app and helps you so much when it comes to this concept of budgeting.

1:28.8

So if you find like, okay, I would need to learn how to just budget because I didn't learn

1:31.8

that in high school or I need to save some money or I have other goals.

1:35.1

Again, a budget is your best friend.
