Well friend I'm going to let you know right ahead that this week's topic is a heavy one.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline has a tagline on their website that states everyone deserves healthy

relationships.

And unfortunately, as you'll hear during this conversation, between one in three and one in four women is not experiencing a healthy relationship.

This is a topic that you don't want to just skip if you feel like it doesn't apply to you.

The statistics show that every one of us knows someone

who is experiencing domestic violence and so we all have a part in

understanding, recognizing, and addressing these situations.

And this conversation is going to be a great jumpstart for that.

I have two experts joining me about this topic today,

Chris is a pastor and biblical counselor

and the editor of a book called Caring for Families

Caught in Domestic Abuse. My second guess is Stacy Wamek, and Stacy is the

founder of Abuse Recovery, Ministry, and Services, and is also the author of a book called

On the Front Lines of Abuse, Strategies for the Faith Community.

Both Stacy and Chris work with abusers and with abuse victims, and as you'll hear, they just have a wealth of advice for those suffering abuse
