A teacher and student are dead. I'm Lisa Lucera. Fox News. It happened after police in Madison, Wisconsin, say a student opened fire at a school. Several others were wounded.

This is a small private Christian school, K through 12, around 400 students. There's also a preschool that is on campus.

And a little before 11 a.m. this morning,

police say a student with a handgun opened fire, killing one teacher and another student and

injuring six other students before they were found dead when officers arrived. Fox is Garrett Tenney

in Madison, a law enforcement official telling the Associated Press,

the shooter was a 17-year-old female. A motive for the shooting is not immediately known.

White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby says North Korean troops are actively

helping Russia in its fight against Ukraine. It's not surprising. And of course, it's also not

surprising that now North Korean

soldiers are suffering losses on the battlefield. And Kirby announced new sanctions on nine

North Korean individuals and seven entities, including banks and shipping companies, over its support

for Russia. After months of deadlock, Israel and Hamas appear to be moving closer toward a ceasefire.

Top officials from the U.S. Qatar and Egypt have resumed their mediation efforts in recent weeks

and reported greater willingness by both sides to wrap up a deal.
