This week on Rise, I have the absolute pleasure of interviewing former first daughters and

number one bestselling authors, Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush. It is not very often

that a little girl from weed patch gets to interview someone who used to live in the

White House. This was an incredible conversation and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

What I thought would be interesting is I think that most people will assume that they know you,

even though they don't. So I would love to ask you would I ask every single guest if someone has

never heard of you. How would you describe yourself and your life up until this point?

Well, I'll start. I'm Jenna and I will introduce ourselves even though I'm sure you'll get to know

that we have very different voices. But I think that's where I would start is that I was born with a

twin and that maybe people did assume from birth that we were needed to be very different. And I

think Barbara and I were compared a lot as little kids, but we were born in Midland, Texas, which is

back then in particular was a very small town in West Texas where my my grandparents Harold and

Jenna lived our grandma Jenna still lives there. She's 99 years old and we had a very interesting

childhood because it was a just a position of very normal and also extraordinary because when we

were born, our other grandparents were vice president of the United States. But I think people

saw that public side obviously much more and assumed that that had a bigger impact on our lives.

Then our other grandparents and our Texas childhood where of course that was our day to day

riding our bikes on the sidewalks to our grandparents house and our Jenna and Harold Welch were very
