One way about thinking about leaky gut is three layers of defense.

0:31.7

If you picture a castle, there's the moat around the castle,

0:36.0

and this is akin to the mucus layer in the gut.

0:40.2

Second to that, there are the soldiers that can either fire arrows or confront with swords in combat.

0:47.1

This is your antibodies, namely but not limited to secretary IGA.

0:53.3

And then third and finally is actually the physical barrier of the

0:56.9

gate. So the mucous layer is the moat. The soldiers are the antibodies or the immune system.

1:36.3

worth mentioning, very important dietary lifestyle and microbiome interventions that we should go

1:42.6

through as a comprehensive and holistic

1:44.2

approach to treating the gut. But within that approach, there is this need for nutritional and

1:50.2

natural methods of fostering repair or helping to make sure you have an adequate moat,

1:56.8

adequate antibodies or soldiers, and a healthy gait. So with that, let's jump into the changes

2:04.2

that we've made. In overview, and for those of you watching, you'll see a image that depicts this,
