Welcome to horror movie club, the show with two dudes who aren't quite nerds, but not quite newbs.

Choose a horror movie each week to rate and review. I'm Oshfin, and I'm on the phone with Brian.

And on this week's episode, we're going to be talking about the 2024 film, Alien Romulus, directed by Fede Alvarez, and co-written by by Faye Alvarez and Roto, Sayagouez, and

starring Kaylee Sfayni, David Johnson, and Archie Renault.

In this film, a couple of kids looking to steal some cryostasis chambers find themselves

in a pickle when they come across a bunch of facehuggers on an abandoned ship.

If you are new to our show, Brian and I are going to have a spoiler-free discussion for the first 10 to 15 minutes.

Brian, I was pretty excited going into this one.

I always forget how much I like this franchise.

I feel like throughout the decades, even the weaker installments,

still have this amazing monster and blend of horror and sci-fi that you can kind of rely on.

What's been your history with this franchise and which of the films have you seen

and what have you liked and not liked about this franchise? I saw aliens as a kid. I think that

is my first history and maybe some of Alien 3. But I really didn't think much of the franchise

until we watched Alien. I had seen some of Alien before, but I don't think I of the franchise until we watched Alien.
