Welcome to horror movie club, the show where two dudes who are not quite nerds but not quite noobs, choose a horror movie each week to rate and review.

I'm Brian. I'm on the phone with Ashman. And today we are discussing Trap from 2024, written and directed by M. Knight Shamelon, starring Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donahue, Salika Shamelan, and Allison Pill.

In this film, a man takes his teenage daughter to a concert only to learn that the venue

has become a trap for a wanted serial killer, as authorities have learned that the killer

is attending the show.

If you're new to the podcast, we're going to walk through some background info on this movie

for the first 15, 20 minutes or so, and that's going to be spoiler-free.

After that, we play some transition music and dive into the plot walkthrough, which is

spoiler-rific.

So if you haven't seen this movie, you can hang out for a while, but once you hear that

transition music, you need to drop out and go see it in the

theater so you don't get it spoiled for you uh this is a movie that i feel like we were kind

of weirdly looking forward to because we're just whether or not we're fans of shaman we're

interested in what shaman's doing and i think you're you call yourself a fan of M. Knight. I think I am, too. I still

need to see some more of his stuff, but he's got the potential to make some great stuff,

and he's also got the potential to make some stinkers.

I know. I like how you phrase that, like we're interested in his stuff. I think that's a very

perfect way of phrasing it.

And, yeah, I've been a huge fan of his early work, especially.
