0:00.0	Hello there. My name is Tyler Griffin and this is Scripture Study Insights by Scripture Central.
0:07.2	Today, Alma 39 through 42. So this is the set of chapters where Alma the younger is talking to
0:16.5	his son Corianton who, while they were on the mission in Antionum among the Zoramites, Corianton had
0:25.7	some issues and ended up, it tells us doing two things.
0:33.6	Verse 2.
0:34.6	Now this is what I have against thee.
0:36.6	Thou didst go on unto boasting in thy strength and thy wisdom.
0:43.6	So this boasting attitude was problem number one, and problem number two is in verse 3.
0:51.0	And this is not all my son. Thou didst do that which was grievous unto me, for thou didst forsake the ministry and did go over into the land of Siron among the borders of the Lamanites after the heartlet, Isabel.
1:06.0	And she did steal away the hearts of many, but this was no excuse for thee, my son. Thou shouldst have
1:11.4	tended to the ministry wherewith thou wast entrusted." So he has these fairly significant
1:19.7	problems that he's facing. And here's Alma, who is the high priest of the church. He's the, I guess you could call him the mission president of the group here in Antionum,
1:33.0	in that mission among the Zoramites.
1:35.9	And yet he's also a father.
1:39.0	And he's looking at his son, his youngest of three sons that we have mentioned here, Heelman, Shiblon, and now Corianton.
1:47.0	And he's talking to this son in a way that is profound. Because keep in mind, Elma
1:58.0	the Younger had some rough experiences in his past and he has experienced that mighty
2:06.2	change of heart that we talked about last week with Alma 36 and that shift from
2:14.1	the his previous life of fighting against the church to his new life, building up the kingdom
2:22.3	of God. And so he has a pretty good sense of what's going to help this wayward son or
2:29.3	this struggling son, and he has a pretty good idea of what's not going to help him. And so we get to watch
2:36.7	as these chapters play out. Now the other thing to consider here as we jump in to these chapters
