0:12.3	And you are in for an absolute treat to be able to have President Elder Meredith with us. He's the current president of BYU Idaho in Rexburg.
0:25.6	Many of you or your children or relatives have probably either attended BYU, Idaho,
0:32.6	or you know people who have an amazing school. And so this is a unique opportunity where we can cover these
0:43.6	chapters of the scripture, Alma 53 through 63, some pretty difficult setting for these
0:51.3	Nephites at that time, but to be able to pull some principles
0:56.4	off the page and apply them not just to our life but to see how the Lord is guiding
1:01.9	you to apply true gospel principles as you lead this incredible university in
1:08.1	Rexburg as part of the building up of his kingdom in these the last
1:13.1	states. There are some worldwide and some amazing initiatives that you're working on up there.
1:18.2	So we're excited to dive in. Thank you. Can I just make one note? When I was studying the
1:24.2	scripture block, I was struck by how few footnotes there were. Like if you go to,
1:30.7	if you look at second Nephi chapter nine, almost a third of the page of each of the pages is
1:36.6	taken up by footnotes. But there's a scarcity of footnotes here, which seems to imply that there's
1:42.1	something in the stories that we should learn.
1:45.3	So I'm excited to dive into the stories with you today, Tyler.
1:48.5	I appreciate you pointing that out because in reality when you come to a section like
1:52.0	this that is so heavy in the story, there aren't a lot of doctrinal speeches.
1:56.6	There aren't a lot of conversations where somebody's expounding principles and ordinances
