I'm Oshfin, and I'm on the phone with Brian, and on this week's episode, we're going to be talking about the 2024 film, Arcadian, directed by Benjamin Brewer, and starring Nicholas Cage, Jaden Martel, and Maxwell Jenkins.

In this film, a father tries to protect his kids in a post-apocalyptic world that has been taken over by some goofy-looking creatures.

If you're new to our show, we're going to have a spoiler-free discussion here for the first 10, 15 minutes, then we'll take a quick break, you're going to hear some background music,

and then we'll come back, talk about the plot, hit the spoilers, and do our review.

Brian, I had this on one of my top 10 movies from last year, so this was a rewatch for me.

But what about you? Had you seen this one before?

I had not seen it before. I was aware of it when it came out and then made even more aware of it

when you put it as number 10 on your top 10 of 2024 in that episode. So I was interested,

curious to watch it. And realistically, I probably would have kept putting it on the back burner, so I'm glad

I had an excuse to check it out.

Yeah, cool.

I'm glad we're at a point now in this year where we can revisit some of those.

I think a lot of people are probably in your boat where, yeah, there was so much in the horror

landscape last year.

But I'm shocked because this film, you know, you had like some big stars in it, like Nick Cage and Jaden Martel, two big names in horror, I think. But yeah, I don't think a lot of people got out to see this and it had like a limited theatrical release. Why do you think this one was less popular than some of the other films last year?

Hmm.

That's a good question.

Is there like a Nick Cage saturation in the marketplace?
