Choose a horror movie each week to rate and review. I'm Brian. I'm on the phone with Ashman,

and today we are discussing Opus from 2025, written and directed by Mark Anthony Green, starring Ayo Adebri, John Malkovich, Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Mid Thunder, and Tony Hale.

In this film, a struggling journalist gets invited to the event of the year when a pop star

invites her to an exclusive album release party at his compound.

If you're new to the show, we're going to discuss some background info on the movie, spoiler-free

for the first 15 or 20 minutes, but after that we're going to play some background info on the movie, spoiler-free for the first 15 or 20 minutes.

But after that, we're going to play a little bit of transition music before we go into spoiler mode,

where we walk through the plot in detail, reviewing it as we go.

It's in theaters now as we're recording this.

And yeah, I was drawn to it.

Always hard to tell which of these movies are going to hit and which aren't, which are going to be big deals.

Frankly, based on the box office, this one isn't really a big deal.

But I was drawn to it because,

you know, I.O. is kind of a trending, up-and-coming actress, and I was interested. How about

you? I felt the same way. I saw the trailer for it, maybe a month or two, and yeah, a big fan

of Iyo ever since The Bear, and I've liked the work I've seen her in.

And yeah, the ratings, like, yeah, I think coming into this, for the first time, like,
