because we're going to talk to somebody

who knows a lot more about what's going on than I do.

So Jen O'Malley Dillon is a veteran of Democratic politics and progressive causes.

She's led campaigns, led organizations.

I worked very closely with her back in 2008

when she joined us.

She'd been working for John Edwards to help lead our battleground states effort and

then she served as our deputy campaign manager for President Obama in 2012,

managed better works campaign during the primary this year and now is Joe Biden's campaign manager. She's actually was a guest on the Works campaign

podcast a few months ago after she had been Beto or works campaign manager and was

talking to her about the race and how she saw the primaries.

But she signed on to run Joe Biden's campaign a few months ago and has really had to do a

heroic job because it's hard enough to pivot from primary to general and to go build a

general election campaign particularly when you're facing an incumbent

president with all the money and the weaponry that Trump's built but to do it in the

middle of a pandemic where you've got to figure out how to run a campaign that may be all virtual, maybe it's a blend.

So she really had to do a really unique job that no one's had to do previously. So I want to talk

for about some of that but really just go deep with Jen on the race. We see all

the things happening in the country, the way we've mismanaged the pandemic

response, the state of the American economy, Trump
