0:51.7	So could you orient us just a little bit with Cesar Chavez and why it is that we care

0:58.2	Well, Cesar was perhaps the most significant Latino civil rights leader of the 20th century.
1:06.8	The Cesar Chavez National Monument is the first of 400 now plus units of the National
1:14.1	Park Service named to recognize a contemporary Latino leader.
1:19.4	And he, with his colleagues, began building and sustaining the first enduring farm workers
1:27.6	union in American history after 100 years of people with a lot better, a lot more resources
1:34.7	and better educations tried and failed to organize farm workers.
1:40.2	He was a social entrepreneur, he was an environmental champion.
