Summary

Many fear that eating a plant-based diet without dairy will lead to weaker bones and an increased risk of fractures. But evidence shows those concerns to be largely unfounded.

An analysis of thousands of people around the world showed that eliminating milk, cheese, and dairy from the diet is actually more protective for bone health in many instances.

Dr. Neal Barnard reviews the findings of the analysis with "The Weight Loss Champion" Chuck Carroll on The Exam Room LIVE. He has what you need to know about maintaining strong bones and getting enough calcium in a dairy-free diet.

Other Topics Discussed
