Summary
Former UCLA football player Pete Holland found himself in a new battle after years of grueling combat on the gridiron. And this opponent wasn't simply playing a game.
Although his archival was no longer USC, it was another nefarious trojan. Holland had cancer.

| 0:17.2 | I just thought it was like a lingering cold or something, but it didn't go away. |
| 0:22.5 | And so after a week or two, I was like, you know what, I've got insurance. |

| 0:26.9 | And so she said, well, we can send you for a chest X-ray. |
| 0:31.4 | And so I did it and I went next door afterwards and I was having lunch and I got a call and |
| 0:36.1 | they asked me to come back in and I thought, that's not good. |
| 0:39.9 | No doctor has ever called me to say come back in. |
| 0:43.1 | And so I went in and had some kind of scan, like a CT scan or something. |
| 0:48.6 | And then I got a call from her that evening and she told me she had something in my lung. |

| 0:58.8 | And so I did six months of brutal chemotherapy and then a month of radiation treatment. |
| 1:06.9 | And based on not the cancer itself, but because of the treatment and the treatments can be |
| 1:12.6 | hard on your lungs and heart, and that you're supposed to behave, you know, post treatment |
| 1:17.1 | as kind of someone who has high risk for heart disease. |
| 1:21.9 | And I didn't take that to heart for a long time. |
| 1:25.8 | But now, you know, I kind of forget that I had cancer a lot of days or most days. |
