0:29.3	Hello there, Sprouts. Today is Tuesday, March 11th, and I am Jill Simons, back with you again talking more about charisms. So today, the question that we're looking at is why God gives
0:37.4	carisms to us. Why do we need these
0:40.9	gifts? And why doesn't God just do these things himself? Why doesn't he just reach down to
0:47.8	earth and take care of all of the healing and all of the leadership and all of the things
0:52.7	that need to happen to move the church
0:55.5	forward, why does he ask us to be a part of this process? And so to understand this, I want you to
1:02.7	think about your family. Now, you probably have some kind of chores at your house, right? There's probably some important things that you
1:13.6	do to help your family. And I want you to think about those things that you do. You probably didn't
1:20.4	do chores when you were a little baby, but now that you are bigger, you do have ways that your parents ask you to contribute to the family.
1:31.6	And those things serve several purposes. One, it makes sure that the chore actually gets done.
1:38.4	And two, it gives you a way to show your family that you love them, to serve your family. And now, I want you to think
1:48.4	about those chores that you do. Why is it that your parents ask you to do those things? Is it because
1:55.6	your parents can't do them? Probably not. Probably your parents can do your chores for you just fine, but there's a
2:04.2	reason that they ask you to do it. And that is because it is good for you to do those chores
2:12.2	because it helps you grow. It helps you become the person that your parents are trying to help you to
2:21.6	become someone who's going to be responsible and know how to take care of their things and be able
2:28.2	to move towards becoming an adult who is able to take responsibility. This is the exact same reason that God gives us
2:38.8	charisms. I always like to think about charisms like our chores in the family of God. But unlike
2:46.4	regular chores, maybe, maybe you love your chores, but maybe chores aren't your favorite. And wherever
