0:07.0	Today, Ether chapters 6 through 11.
0:11.0	Now these are some heavy chapters and often they'll get skipped by people because it feels like a repeat pattern of people rejecting the prophets,
0:23.6	being destroyed, repenting, and then being blessed again, only to repeat that pride cycle
0:29.8	over and over and over again. And keep in mind from chapter 6 through 11, we are actually
0:36.2	going to encapsulate every single one of those 30 people mentioned
0:43.9	in Ether chapter 1, all the way from Jared at the very beginning of the Jaredite story,
0:50.0	all the way to Ether who gets introduced at the tail end of Chapter 11. So all 30 of those
0:58.0	generations are going to be at least mentioned and the stories of 28 of those individuals,
1:05.5	not Jared, not Ether, but 28 of the 30 are going to be described and developed in chapter 6 through 11. And since this
1:16.4	can sometimes be a little bit confusing as far as timeline, as far as location, I want to begin
1:23.9	with a quick overview of the land of the Jaredites, what we call, the Nephites call
1:31.6	the land desolation. It's in the land northward. So to make sense of this, we'll pull up
1:36.1	our little map. I feel like a weatherman whenever we do this. We'll have a high pressure
1:40.9	system moving in here. So the Jaredites arrive in the land northward
1:50.0	sometime in Noah's dispensation.
1:55.0	Roughly speaking somewhere around 2350,
2:00.0	2330 BC and the Tower of Babel falls into his dispensation.
2:05.1	So we'll just put a very rough estimate of 2,200 BC when they arrive.
2:14.7	So now to help you see how the Jaredites fit in with the timeline of the
2:20.3	Lamanites and Nephites, and Mulekites for that matter, keep in mind, Lehii left Jerusalem,
2:28.3	600 BC, spent eight years wandering in the wilderness, 592, They build the ship and about a year later they arrived.
