I'm trying to figure out what the situation is with the hostages in Israel.

I'm lucky to be joined by Dr. Michael Orrin, former ambassador from Israel to the United States.

Dr. Orrin, thank you for joining me today.

Israel said, or at least it's been reported in the times of Israel,

Hamas has provided a list of the 26 hostages covered in the first phase,

but apparently some of them are dead.

What is your understanding of those 26 who remain in phase one?

It looks like it's going off.

They just have formed us that eight of the 33, the second to give back, are dead.

And we don't know which ones are dead, but we fear the ones that are dead, include the children, the Beavis family, and others.

And, you know, we've had this, we had a rollercoaster, this emotional

roller coaster of joy in, in repatriating these people have been in prison for a year and a half

and unspeakable tortures, and speakable tortures. And in spite of the, you know, the fact that they

quote-unquote fattened up these prostitages before they let them out and cleaned them up and gave them fresh army uniforms.

We know what they went through.

It's coming out now.

It was months and months and months of being alone in tunnels, freezing, starving, being beaten, and probably worse.

Probably worse.

No.

We're not going to have the same joy if when the ambulance doors opens, it's not a person who gets out for the box.
