hours ahead of the east coast of the United States in the day. So while it was around 4 a.m. East

coast time for the confirmation of Pennsylvania and the expectation of Mr. Trump being the winner,

it was mid-morning in Italy.

How did Italy hear and how was it received the news that Mr. Trump,

despite the polls saying that Vice President Harris would prevail,

Mr. Trump had been returned to the presidency.

Good day, John, and good day to all the radio listeners. I can tell you, John, that there was a lot of expectation approaching the date of the election in the Italian public opinion.

And this was also, to a certain extent, raised by the media, opening the TV report with the headline

about what Camara Harris was saying, what were the latest statement made by Trump, the poll, exit

poll regarding who could be the winner in the critical states to become a president of the

U.S. And let me tell you that the all the major TV channel organize a sort of marathon to follow across the night

here in Italy the the outcome of the rotation soon after the the the election were closed

and so I do remember pretty well.

And when I wake up very early in the morning,

there were already the announcement that Trump was going to win in a very crystal way.
