Once upon a time, in a land called Iceland, the people celebrated Christmas Eve. And it was and still is that every

Christmas Eve they would observe the tradition of Yolabukov flood, the Christmas book flood.

Every year on December 24th, they would exchange books as gifts and then snuggle up with a nice cup of hot cocoa and weed.

A little girl called Katrin was celebrating with her family. They all made merry, or as merry as they could.

You see, her brother was a soldier.

He had been away for quite some time,

and they missed him dearly and desperately wanted him to come home.

Perhaps next Christmas, they thought.

They put the hot cocoa on the stove

and sat to exchange their books.

Everyone was delighted with what they had received,

but no one more than Catherine.

A new copy of the Princess and the Ice Storm.

Oh, how she loved it!

Once everyone had opened their gift, they poured the hot cocoa,

cream for Catherine and marshmallows for Mother and Father.

They all settled in by the tree and opened their books.

What a lovely evening it was.

Soon, Catherine was snuggled up in bed.

She could not put her book down.

It was just too good.
