Welp, after dodging it for over 2 years, covid finally hit her and she is here to attest that what they call "covid brain" is a real thing. First episode in 2 weeks so a lot to catch up on including her London recap and why she has a fear of slowing down. We want to put a trigger warning on this episode as well, because Gretch goes a bit into her thoughts on the recent school shooting in Ulvade, Texas.
After extensive research into organizations to help the victims, this is where Gretchen chose to donate. If you feel led to do the same: https://gofund.me/bda1a77d

0:00.0 | Guys, I have COVID. Just wanted to put that out there. This podcast is probably going to |
0:09.1 | be very similar to all my other ones and make absolutely no sense. And you know, just |
0:14.1 | might have some coughing attacks in the middle. So if you just hear a pause, that's me just |
0:19.1 | hacking up along. But anyway, hi guys, I miss you so much. Two weeks, not on this microphone |
0:26.6 | on some other microphones, which I'll talk about in a little bit. But anyways, COVID, you |
0:32.3 | know, dodged it for two and a half years. Finally hit me in London, I would assume. I was, |
0:41.6 | you know, like dead to the world when I came back from London, but thought that it was just |
0:45.7 | from, you know, traveling to two different countries in 30 days, having my foot kind |
0:51.1 | of pressed on the gas, like down to the floor for the past six months. I thought I was honestly |
0:56.8 | just run down. But no, it was COVID. And no, COVID is not funny. And I'm not trying to make |
1:02.8 | light of it. But I'm glad, you know, I got on my Instagram and I was like, yep, tested positive. |
1:09.0 | Wasn't it wasn't a positive pregnancy test? Sorry to all my friends who always wish that. |
1:14.2 | Some of my friends actually, when I sent them a picture of my positive test, they're like, oh, |
1:19.8 | damn, thought it was a pregnancy test. I'm like, doesn't look anywhere similar. But anyway, |
1:24.8 | I'm glad that when you say you have COVID, it's no longer like high, I have herpes, which is what |
1:31.1 | I think that it kind of used to feel like. I feel like it's just saying, hey, have the flu. |
1:36.8 | I'm contagious. I'm going to stay home. But anyway, just like when you have the flu, |
1:41.1 | you should stay in your own house, you should wash your hands, you should rest, get lots of fluids, |
1:44.4 | take vitamins, not go see people, get your groceries delivered if you can instead of, you know, |
1:50.0 | going to the grocery store, that kind of thing. But when I did tell my Instagram, so many people |
1:56.0 | were like, yeah, it's going around. It's just kind of all over the place. Is it ever going to go away? |
2:03.6 | Like, is it ever going to stop or is it like COVID is just turning into something as common as |
