This is BBC Radio Scotland and this week our story belongs to the Hoyk Common Riding.

Hoyk is the first of the old border's common ridings and takes place each year on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday after the first Monday in June. Essentially it celebrates two historical events.

The first in 1514, which involved the young men of Hoyek at a place called Horn's Hole, and the second is their
