Robin Lim is a midwife (North American Registry of Midwives & Ikatan Bidan Indonesia). Her work with MothersBabies&Families globally earned her the CNN "Hero of the Year" award in 2011 and many other honors, including "BirthKeeper of the Year" by the Association for Pre-and Perinatal Psychology and Health (APPPAH) in 2012 and the Alexander Langer Peace Award in 2006 for her humanitarian work in disaster zones.
