In this podcast, we’re going to talk about the ketogenic diet and navy seals. I’m going to cover why the navy seals are now doing a ketogenic diet plan.
Deep diving increases the risk of seizures. But, doing the ketogenic diet plan is very effective for epileptic seizures.
The military is now funding research on ketosis. They’re finding that keto is not only good for reducing seizures but that it also helps navy seals hold their breath. It’s not because keto increases oxygen, it’s because keto decreases CO2.
Ketosis is a better and more efficient fuel source. Ketosis puts out more sustained energy, but it produces a lot less CO2, which allows a diver to maintain their oxygen underwater.
I think they will also soon start to notice how keto benefits cognitive function (increased focus, memory, and concentration).
