There are no perfect Christians. Let me repeat that. There is no such thing as a believer who has

reached a place of sinless perfection. There's only one person

that's ever walked this planet that was sinless and perfect, and that's the God man, the perfect

man, the Lord Jesus Christ, and we will not be perfect until, according to 1 John, we see him and we are made like him. For the record,

I'm looking forward to that day because I'm so sick of battling myself and fighting against

sin and dealing with the effects of the fall in this world. And I know so many of you feel the

exact same way. So the question is, if there's no such thing as a perfect Christian,

how can we know for certain that our sins have been forgiven?

How can we know that we truly belong to the Lord and he belongs to us?

In a word, I would say it this way,

because it is not about you being a perfect Christian,
