There is no substitute for the preaching and teaching of God's Word. Each weekday on enjoying the journey, Scott Pauley leads us in a brief study of Scripture.

Today, on the weekend pulpit, we are happy to share a full-length Bible message given through Scott's pulpit ministry. These messages were recorded live in a local church or gospel event in recent days. It is our prayer that the message will be a help to you today. We'll open the Word of God with me again tonight to the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ,

0:58.6

and we pick up right where we left off in Revelation chapter number five.

1:02.6

And before I read the closing verses of this amazing chapter, let's just review for a second.

1:08.1

Shall we do that?

1:09.7

You back up one page in your Bible to the final verse of

1:12.6

Revelation chapter number three. We began here in the Bible study hour, and we dealt with the last

1:42.2

1:45.3

for the moment that we see the Lord face to face. Then in the evening meeting on the Lord's

1:50.3

day, we came to the opening seven verses of Revelation chapter 5. Who in the world? Who in the

1:57.2

world? Only Jesus. Only Jesus. No man. Only Jesus is worthy of our praise. Only Jesus can wipe

2:04.3

away the tears. Only Jesus can make right the wrongs in this world. Then last evening, we

2:11.3

concentrated on a verse, really on a phrase found in Revelation 5 and verse number 8, the prayers of the saints. I wonder, I really wonder,

2:20.6

don't raise your hand, you don't have to tell me, but I wonder how many of you were more

2:24.7

conscious today of praying and talking to the Lord. And when you woke up this morning,

2:31.6

when you walked through the day, did you turn the conversation to prayer?

2:35.4

Did you look to the Lord?

2:37.5

Because it's one thing to preach about prayer and quite another thing to pray, isn't it?
