Some of you might think that Lou and I junk Griselda and M.F. Doom records all day long,

0:04.2

but that's not really the case. Lou and I do have our ears in other genres, whether it be

0:08.9

bedroom pop, alternative jazz, alternative rock, whatever we could really get our hands on.

0:14.1

Because, yes, I do love having discussions about hip-hop music. It is my favorite genre.

0:18.8

It is the genre that changed my life but i do appreciate

0:21.7

different sounds and when i go into different genres it also it also gives me a different type of

0:26.6

like mental clarity if i could say that you know what am i listening to that day gives me a nice

0:31.2

contrast from the hip hop music and the analyization i'm doing on that side so in today's episode guys

0:35.6

for episode 29 yes you heard that right.

0:38.4

Episode 29, already almost 30 in to this beautiful new audio series.

0:42.5

Lou and I are going to be talking about our favorite non-rap music that we currently have in

0:47.4

our rotation.

0:55.5

other genres like you were saying. And it's a good refresher for even us, just because when it

1:00.0

comes to other genres, whether it be rock, indie rock, whatever it is, I don't really know where

1:04.7

your ears is at that much. Me too. So that's what's going to be interesting. But I could kind of maybe gauge where you're at with certain things. I know you're a big soul and R&B type of guy. So I feel like you have me brought in some of that today. And I think you know what I kind of listen to on a day-to-day basis. It's kind of rare that you actually catch me listening to hip-hop before maybe you're recording. I'm always playing some other stuff on a daily basis. But listen, just before we get into this, I want to talk about two rap releases

1:28.2

that I actually listen to over the weekend. I want to give a shout to D2X and Mc Jenkins

1:33.2

for respectively both dropping fantastic projects over the course of the past two weeks. I believe

1:38.9

D2X dropped Hotel 1105 if that's, yeah, and then after that Mc Jenkins with the patience.

1:45.3

Two rappers from Chicago that are doing fantastic things obviously Mc Jenkins is a bit more well known but I just

1:49.9

want to shout them out because those albums have been in rotation I still have to get into the
