We are continuing this collection called The One Thing, and it's been powerful.

It's been a really powerful thing to think about having unshakable hope and an unpredictable year.

And as I was thinking about the talk today, I was thinking about what's

unpredictable that's coming our way. But then I started thinking about what is predictable.

I mean, of course, predictable is that the Kansas City Chiefs are going to win the Super Bowl.

We all saw that coming. None of us should be shocked. I mean, I had hope that it was going to be the Chicago Bears,

but it was definitely not unshakable hope. They will never make it. That is never going to happen.

I'm sad to say. But I was actually more thinking about you and I, about our year and how we're

feeling. Are we a hopeful people? Are we an expected people? In fact, what would be

predictable? No, probably not, you know, what we would like to think we would say, but if I just came up to any of you,

I did some informal polling, it would be like nine out of ten. What would be the predictable response?

Hey, man. Hey, hey, how's it going? How's life? How you're feeling? The predictable response,

sad to say, I think we all know, is not hopeful, excited, expected. Used to be we would just get the, how you doing?

Good?

Fine.

I don't really want to talk too much, but yeah, I'm good.

Now I think the word that you would hear more often than not,

and according to my polling, is 99 times out of 100.
