Summary

Today's episode opens with a Planner Peace segment from Sarah's friend and coworker Kathleen who uses a medium-sized At-A-Glance Weekly and Monthly (available here: https://a.co/d/5tnHJZ5). This planner may appear basic but it packs a punch in terms of features (and the paper is nice, too!). Then, Sarah provides a review of the Just Scribble Plans Vertical Weekly A5 Planner (available here for preorder: https://www.shopjustscribble.com/products/plans-vertical). It's a 2-volume set and a LOT of planning real estate. Sarah then shares some ideas of things she wants to do differently with her own planning in 2025, followed by a listener question asking for an example of how "Plan a Neighborhood Party" would make its way through the Nested Goals system. Hello and welcome to best laid plans. This is your host, Sarah Hardunger,

0:13.1

and this is the podcast where we talk all things planning and planning adjacent. It is

0:18.8

early to mid-November as I'm recording this, which means we're going to do

0:22.4

lots of planner talk because we are at the peak of when people who are serious about their paper

0:27.7

planners and their systems start thinking about what they'd like to use for next year.

0:32.3

And so this is a perfect time to share some options that may or may not have crossed your

0:36.6

radar over the last

0:38.3

few months. But before I begin with my little mini review of the Just Scribble Planner, I am going to

0:45.6

share a planner piece from my friend Kathleen, who also is a BLPA alumnus. And I actually work with

0:53.0

her. She's one of the nurses who works in my office.

0:56.2

So that was really, really fun. I think she, like, put two and two together and realized I was

1:01.3

someone who actually works with her after she discovered the podcast. Maybe Kathleen, forgive me,

1:06.0

I'll have to review this with you. But anyway, Kathleen showed me her planner that she's going to use for next year,

1:13.2

and I just wanted to share it because it's such a simple and inexpensive choice that still has

1:19.0

so many features. I was very impressed with the number of things packed into this planner.

1:24.9

So Kathleen is going to be using an at-a-glance 2025 planner that has weekly

1:29.5

and monthly. It is available online. I will share the link in my show notes so you can find it if

1:35.9

you'd like to. Hers is the medium size. And I was just so impressed. This is a very sort of

1:41.0

simple laid-out planner that has tons of space for goal planning.

1:45.0

It has a very functional weekly layout that can easily be turned into kind of a multiple

1:49.7

grid box type of setup.

1:52.5

Think about the Aaron Condren planner and how each day has three boxes vertically.
