Are you ready to meet God like you are at this moment?

Because any moment, you may see the Lord Jesus face to face.

We're talking as we walk through 1 John about all these beautiful evidences that a person

is really a child of God.

And we've come today to the final two verses in 1 John chapter number 2, verses 28 and 29.

And we're going to read them together.'re going to study them but i want to say

to you before we do that one of the great marks and assurances that you are one of god's children is

you have in your heart a desire to be right with god and ready to meet him you see a child wants to be with his father. A child wants to

live in such a way that the father would be pleased when the father arrives. And one of the great

evidences that not only are you a child of God, but you're a child of God that is right with the Lord

and that there's no sin in your life is that you are living every day ready to meet him.

Let me read to your 1st John chapter 2, verse 28 and 29, and now little children.

Can I just pause and point out the now?

I have a wonderful book, a classic book in my library by F. B. Meyer called the present tenses of the blessed life.

So many people talking about someday, someday out there, someday, and they're missing today. They're missing the now.

God is always present tense. The Lord is working in the now. Yes, we're going to see him soon, someday.
