Can a person really know for sure that they have eternal life? Is it arrogant for a person to presume that he or she will go to heaven when they die?

Does the Bible give us any certainty on these important questions?

let's join Scott Pauli. Occasionally, I will hear some person praying that they would have

unction or that they would have the anointing of God upon them. I understand what they mean in that

prayer. I've prayed the very thing myself. We mean by that we want the Lord's enabling at that

moment, his equipping, his empowering. A good Bible word is the quickening of the Lord. But in reality,

the unction and the anointing is not some intangible thing, some

impersonal force.

The unction and the anointing is actually the person of the Holy Spirit.

And if you know Christ is your Savior, you have Him at this moment.

I think this is one of the greatest revelations that ever dawns on the heart

of a believer that the Spirit of Christ lives in you. In fact, Paul said, if you don't have the

Spirit of Christ, you're none of His. You're not even a child of God. So we come today to yet another

one of the marks of a true follower of Christ, one of the great assurances,

and it is this, we have the Holy Spirit.

We have the Holy Spirit of God in us, the unction, and the anointing.
