wonderful center, very progressive,

like-minded people, and it's gonna be the same deal as the last few so look for the information which will go up on the

darma punks NYC if you'd like to join us in person in July and also of course we have our in-person retreat from September 1st to the 5th at Garrison Institute where we've been doing retreats for, oh, I don't know, probably 10 years now, and wonderful, huge, beautiful, lovely center easy to get to from New York City.

Just jump on the Metro North and you're there in about an hour and 10 minutes and lovely hiking

trails great food and the wonderful Kathy Cherry and J Mo Jessica Moray will be teaching and I'll be

be teaching as well.

So hopefully you'll consider joining us.

Right livelihood I am talking about right livelihood, which is one of the Buddha's eightfold path, the eightfold path being the Buddha's outlining of the spiritual way to live one's life.

And I'm not gonna go over the eightfold path tonight.

I'm just gonna go over why right livelihood or finding work that creates and instills a sense of interconnectedness with the world and how

truism is so beneficial and why it is fundamental to having a spiritual life and ways we can go about it even when

work that is entirely altruistic might not be available.

So anyway, let's jump in.

I like to start with contrasting happiness with fulfillment because

they're often confused but But in fact, they denote entirely different

states of being, entirely different neurotransmitters, underlying perspectives,

happiness is a temporary state.

It's associated with the celebratory emotions of joy and positive sensations.

It is also associated with a sense of invulnerability that everything is perfect right now.
